A New Year message from our Vicar

Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain.” Psalm 127:1

2020 is the 50th Anniversary of the start of worship in the new All Saints building.  The first service in the new church was on December 21st 1969 and the church was dedicated by the then Bishop of Kensington, the Rt. Rev. Ronald Goodchild, on October 25th 1970.  It is amazing to think that we still have members attending who worked hard to raise the money to build the new church.  We are aware though, that we are primarily a worshipping community, and that without the Lord and the people worshipping him, the building is only part of the story.  We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with the new church building and with all the people who come week by week.

We are calling 2020 ‘A Year of Celebration and Challenge – to grow in our faith and in numbers attending, to give of our time, talents and money to ensure the continuity of the community at All Saints, and to go out into Isleworth and to the communities where we live and work with the good news of Jesus.

We have a special prayer written for the 50th anniversary of the new church building.  Please do pray this prayer regularly.

Heavenly Father

Thank you for 50 years of prayer, worship and witness in our new church building.
Thank you for those who had the vision for this new church and for all those who worked so hard to make it happen.
Thank you for your faithfulness to your people at All Saints.

Lord, be with us as we look forward to the next 50 years.
Help us to grow in our love for you.
Help us to give of our time, talents and money to secure the future of your community here.
Help us to go out into Isleworth with the good news of Jesus’ love for us.

As we celebrate the past 50 years we pray that you will help us to accept the challenge to move forward into the next 50 years.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

With every blessing,
